Process of production

Marking

This operation is carried out by the most skilled and experienced employees, knowing all technological chain of polished manufacturing. In process of Marking Kristall applies the modern technology. Now at the company such systems as Sarin and Diaport are used. To define the colour of an expected diamond Kristall uses a special device - colorimeter which will predict color in rough diamonds.To analyse the clarity of diamond Kristall uses special software “Inclusion” that defines all internal defects of a rough diamond and projects the model of a polished diamond.

Sawing

In process of sawing Kristall uses either traditional mechanical equipment developed and worked up by specialists of Kristall or lasers. It allows to reach precise and very thin saw cut line.

Bruting  

In the process of bruting "Kristall" uses all modern equipment: both of home produced and foreign, including last development - compact machine tool “Bulat”.Bruting includes forming of so called “frosted girdle” – the main distinguishing feature of “Russian Make” .

Polishing 

More than 60% of cutters at Kristall are high-level specialists who can cut a diamond not only into traditional round shape but to dozen of different fancy shape as well.
Over the years, the company has progressed from cutting standard rough diamonds to a complete range of diamonds, including large and very large stones bought at special auctions. At present the company produces a large range of diamond products going from melee (0.01 carats) to unique diamonds weighing a hundred and more carats. a large range of diamond products going from melee (0.1 carats) to unique diamonds weighing a hundred and more carats.

  Grading  

The secret of “Russian Make” polished diamond manufacturing is in the proper grading system perfected by Kristall over for many years. There is an internal company’s standard  which is considerably higher and more stringent than the relevant Russian Federation Specifications, ensuring that all our stones are graded by international gemological standards (GIA, AGS, HRD) as Excellent or Very Good. In any cases the quality of Kristall products is higher of standards of these laboratories, for example, when “Hearts & Arrows” polished diamonds is manufactured (AGS000, triple excellent).

Laser inscription

Any polished diamond could be inscribed by the individual client request. However, only stones of size from 0.30 carats can be inscribed, as only middle and large stones are sufficient height of the girdle for the engraving. Inscription is an additional quality guarantee of diamond. A logotype “Kristall”, a series and a series number of the stone are inscribed at the diamond girdle, however, when it is necessary or some client demands, an inscription could be any different one.
